Grab a code straight off your screen or open an image file — then create your own codes without ever leaving the app.
One window for reading codes and making them, built for a desktop rather than a phone.
Drag a box around a code in a video call, PDF, chat window, or web page. No second device, no photographing your own monitor.
Open a PNG, JPG, WebP, or HEIC file and QRLens finds the code inside it — ideal for screenshots and scanned documents.
Turn a link, message, contact, email address, location, or Wi-Fi network into a code, and save it as PNG or SVG.
Every scan is kept locally so you can search it later, star the ones you reuse, and delete anything you no longer want.
Links, Wi-Fi networks, contacts, emails, and locations are recognized for what they are and presented so you can act on them.
Recognition and generation both run on your own PC, so QRLens keeps working with no internet connection at all.
Three steps, all of them on your own machine.
Choose a region of your screen or an image file already on your PC.
QRLens decodes the code locally and shows you what it contains, ready to copy or open.
Keep the result in your searchable history, or build a new code and export it as PNG or SVG.
The short version: your images stay with you.
No. Screen captures and image files are processed in memory on your own PC. They are never uploaded and never saved as images by QRLens.
Only the decoded text of a scan and a small amount of result information, written to a database in your user folder. You can delete individual entries or clear the entire history at any time.
No. There is no sign-in, no profile, and no cloud service. QRLens has a single local user: you.
Yes. All scanning and generation happens locally, so QRLens works fully offline. A connection is only ever needed if you choose to open a scanned web link in your browser.
No. History is stored only on the machine where the scan happened. Nothing is synchronized or backed up to a server.
PNG, JPG, WebP, and HEIC.
PNG for everyday screen use, and SVG when you need a code that stays sharp at any size for print or large-format work.
English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Spanish, and Italian. You can switch at any time.
